Hello, dear reader, I hope you’re having a good day. This article on Kingdom Rush Frontiers has tips and tricks as well as a light review on the game since I have not beaten it. I will have a video of Kingdom Rush Frontiers gameplay on the Lunar Nebula LLC Gaming YouTube channel on Sunday. I’m not being paid to write this blog, and it contains information based on my opinions from playing Kingdom Rush Frontiers. Kingdom Rush Frontiers is rated 9+ on the App Store for Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or fantasy violence. It’s got some cartoon blood, bantha poodoo, and cartoonish monsters. The game will make nerdy references to mature franchises like Alien and Predator. Some curse words may be present later in the game. Especially since the big bad bosses like to trash talk.
Light Review: Kingdom Rush Frontiers has a small tutorial and introduces you to the core mechanics of the game. Leveling up abilities is relaxed, and abilities can be reset without consequence. The gem shop isn't as kind to new users. Thankfully, gems are easy to stock up on as you play through the game. Especially if you want to level up all of your heroes. A major improvement on the first game is how hero levels carry between maps. The game does a good job preparing users for the challenges to come and explaining the basics. The fourth level towers are different and have different abilities from the first game. Life lesson: The obsessive pursuit of power can lead to terrible consequences. I don't want to spoil anything. Play through the game to see what I mean.

- When starting, I suggest focusing on leveling up Alric's Sand Warriors, Flurry, and Toughness abilities- The game isn’t too hard in the beginning. Still, having a mobile barracks tower and damage dealing hero is a strong combo which can last you through the entire game. The Sand Warriors are able to flow from Alric and stop once they hit an enemy. You can keep Alric all the way at the gate and these guys will run to the top of the map. Alric is mostly a tank, but Flurry allows him to nuke smaller enemies and retain his health pool. I rate Cronan and Bruxa as better overall heroes, but Alric's no slouch.
- The Gnome Shop is the same, and I recommend Chill Wands- You will get the most bang for your buck from the Chill Wand. I stand by this recommendation.
- The Upgrades are different because the final towers are different- The procedure of leveling is up to your play style. I recommend upgrading meteors, then archers, and then mixing up the last few until only the Reinforcement upgrades are left. Once again, you can reset your upgrades at any time so feel free to play around with them.
- My favorite towers- The Advanced Towers have more variance behind their abilities in this game. The Assassin Towers have a chance at dodging, the Knights Templar have a chance to revive, and the archers can throw axes. Yup. Just upgrade to the Tribal Axethrowers and your soldiers will be chucking axes and totems. My favorite towers in the game are the Assassin's Guild, Archmage, Battle Mecha T-200, and the Crossbow Fort due to their constant utility. Assassin's can give you more gold. MORE GOLD! What's not to love? The Archmage deals huge single target damage and uses twister to carry your foes back to Kansas. The Battle Mecha can WALK, fire missiles, and do cool stuff. Think of it as a bombard tower with more versatility and range. The Crossbow Fort is solid. It has good range and damage while it also buffs adjacent towers. The other towers require a proper map to utilize their abilities well. You can check every Kingdom Rush games' towers at http://kingdomrushtd.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Towers.
- You can find Walkthroughs of the game- If at first you don't succeed, get lazy, or need a hand, then try this site http://www.kingdomrushfrontiers.com/strategy.html or http://armorgames.com/news/kingdom-rush-frontiers-walkthrough. The latter includes videos of the levels as well. I didn't need a walkthrough to complete the game previously. Only stubbornness. Oh, Veteran mode, truly you can be pitiless.
