Hello, dear reader, I hope you’re having a good day. I’m not being paid to write this blog, and it contains information based on my opinions from playing Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG on iOS. Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG is a role-playing game (RPG) playable offline so you don’t need an internet connection to play. The JRPG stands for Japanese role-playing game because of its similar leveling progression. The game is $3.99 normally, and it’s been for sale as low as $0 according to App Sliced. There are no ads and no other in-app purchases. You’ll have to collect treasure, pets, and experience the hard way to make your fate. Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG is rated 9+ for Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence. Violence is pixelated and quite tame. If you and your children can handle most Nintendo DS RPGs (role-playing games), or Super Nintendo sprite RPGs, then you can certainly play Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG.
Review:
Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG is a grind. An enjoyable one most of the time. I’ve played several hours as the Cultist (because magic!) and reached the crypt as a level 12 character. The good news is there’s plenty of time to spend in the game progressing to new dungeons and trying out new character classes. The bad news is the repetitive nature of Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG. Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG’ music uses a fun techno undertone which keeps battles from feeling stale and provides character to new areas. The pixel art is a tribute to tradition. The game still works with newer iOS updates and is perfect for a plane ride.
Time: You can play Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG as much as you want! There are no energy bars, gameplay related in-app purchases, or daily limits to dungeons.
Pros and Cons: Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG has a story propelling you to journey through time and space. It’s a light story with the real focus on the gameplay. The idea is to choose a character you like and make them as powerful as possible. Unfortunately, I did get tired of playing the game when I reached the bandit ringleader in the ruins. As the Cultist, it was down to luck to win! You’ll find points where you must grind in order to progress or have plenty of healing potions (if you don’t get a lucky confusion debuff on the boss). Thankfully, your pets will all gain XP and are the same level as you so swapping pets is easy. The game lacks a few quality of life features in the UI. You’ll constantly select equip and unequip buttons to move spells and items around. Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future is what it says it is and doesn’t force any ads or in-app payments down your throat.
Overall Impression: If you love dungeon crawling RPGs, turn-based combat, and pixel art games with simple stories; then Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG is ready for you. Will you change your fate? I think Adventure to Fate is a solid piece of work and an enjoyable game for JRPG enthusiasts. I recommend picking it up before a long trip! If you don’t enjoy JRPG games, grinding for items and XP, or pixel art; then Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG isn’t for you.

Tips:
- Sell extra items at the shop – The shop will give you half the item’s cost back. You’ll be swimming in useless potions of one kind or another depending on your class’ needs. Don’t forget to equip the items you need before big boss battles! It’ll also clear up some space in your inventory.
- Search everything – Search your surroundings for items, crafting materials, traps and new pets! Sometimes you’ll get in a fight. Still worth it for the XP. I used the Living Aqua pet until I collected the Ghast. It’s hard to say no to free healing!
- When in doubt, keep trying – The cultist has a lot of randomness thanks to debuffs, magic resistance, and the chance for your spells to fizzle. It took over a few hours for the bandit ringleader to finally succumb to confusion and destroy half his own health. Thankfully, I continued to gain XP, enough gold to replace the bit I’d lose, and items to help me out. Adventure to Fate: Quest for the Future JRPG is all about persistence!
- Extra Cultist tips- Use your spells to debuff enemies! Confusion with your psychic bolt will sometimes be your best chance at survival! It’ll help you steal victory from say, a bandit ringleader. You can also click the middle button for searching things to re-use a door or travel point instead of risking walking into a random battle! Keep an eye out for those travel squares with black triangles at their top-right corners. It’ll keep you from getting lost. I wouldn’t worry about dying as much as using your resources well. It can take you quite a while to farm new potions at the beginning of the game! I’d try a boss battle without using any potions the first time you fight so you can get a feel for the battle. Try to let your natural HP and SP regain help you out more than potions!
